Walk-in testing

Free testing is available every day at Volunteers of America, located at 111 New York Street Rapid City, SD.  Our tests require a finger poke, and provide results in 15 minutes.  To be certain of results, we recommend getting tested three months after any incident you’re worried might have exposed you to HIV.

The two most common ways people are exposed to HIV are unprotected sex and sharing needles. HIV can be present in the blood, sex fluids (vaginal, semen, rectal), and breast milk of an HIV+ person. More information on protecting yourself from HIV can be found under Know Your Resources: Preventing HIV.
